Day 1 Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu
Upon arrival at Paro Airport, complete your visa formalities and meet your Bhutan representative. Drive to Thimphu (65 km / approx. 2 hours), stopping en route at Tamchog Lhakhang and Chuzom—the scenic confluence of Thimphu and Paro rivers. Check in to your hotel in Thimphu and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight in Thimphu.
Day 2 Thimphu – Full Day Local Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy sightseeing in Thimphu covering the Sangaygang Viewpoint, Buddha Point, Zorig Chusum (Traditional Arts School), Textiles Museum, Handicrafts Shops, Zangthopelri Lhakhang, Simply Bhutan museum, and the Motithang Takin Preserve. Explore the city’s unique blend of culture and nature. Overnight at your hotel in Thimphu.
Day 3 Thimphu – Transfer to Punakha / Wangdi with Sightseeing
Check out from your hotel and drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochu La Pass (3080 m), offering magnificent views of the Himalayan ranges. In Punakha, visit the grand Punakha Dzong, and if time permits, explore the Suspension Bridge and hike to Chimi Lhakhang, a revered fertility temple. Overnight stay in Punakha or Wangdi.
Day 4 Punakha to Paro (via Lamperi) or Excursion to Haa Valley
After breakfast, transfer to Paro via Lamperi with a visit to the Royal Botanical Garden. Alternatively, opt for a full-day excursion to Haa Valley via the dramatic Chele La Pass. Explore the peaceful valley, including Haa Dzong, Lhakhang Karpo, and Lhakhang Nagpo, before returning to Paro for overnight stay.
Day 5 Paro Local Sightseeing or Hike to Tiger’s Nest
Choose between two unforgettable experiences. Option 1: Enjoy full-day sightseeing in Paro including Dungtse Lhakhang, the Paro Valley viewpoint, National Museum (Ta Dzong), Rinpung Dzong, and Kichu Lhakhang. Option 2: Hike to the sacred Tiger’s Nest Monastery, a 2.5–3-hour uphill trek offering awe-inspiring views and deep spiritual significance. Return to hotel. Overnight in Paro.
Day 6 Departure from Paro
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Paro Airport for your onward journey with wonderful memories of Bhutan.
