Day 1 Arrival at Paro – Transfer to Thimphu
Arrive at Paro Airport and complete Visa/Permit formalities. Meet your Bhutanese guide and drive to Thimphu (65 km / ~2 hours). En route, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang (Iron Bridge) and Chuzom—the confluence of Paro and Thimphu rivers. Check in to your hotel upon arrival in Thimphu. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 2 Thimphu – Excursion to Punakha / Wangdi – Thimphu
After breakfast, drive to Punakha via the scenic Dochu La Pass (3080 m), enjoying panoramic Himalayan views. Visit the grand Punakha Dzong, Bhutan’s second-oldest and second-largest Dzong. Explore the Suspension Bridge and optionally hike to Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple). Return to Thimphu in the evening. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 3 Thimphu Sightseeing – Transfer to Paro
Explore Thimphu's key attractions: Sangaygang Viewpoint (BBS Tower), Buddha Point, Traditional Art School, Textiles Museum, Handicrafts shops, Zangthopelri Lhakhang, Simply Bhutan museum, and the Motithang Takin Preserve. After sightseeing, drive to Paro (~2 hours). Check into hotel. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 4 Paro Local Sightseeing
Discover Paro's cultural gems including Dungtse Lhakhang and the Paro Valley viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the valley and airport. Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum), Rinpung Dzong—fortress of the heap of jewels, and the sacred Kichu Lhakhang. Return to hotel. Overnight stay in Paro.
Day 5 Optional Activities & Departure
Choose between a trek to Taktsang Lhakhang (Tiger’s Nest), Bhutan’s most iconic cliffside monastery, or a full-day scenic excursion to Haa Valley via Chele La Pass, visiting remote temples and dzongs. Later, transfer to Paro Airport for your departure.
